Caring for one another, as you know, is at the heart of all that we do as a faith community at First Congregational Church, UCC. Relationships that endure, sharing in great life celebrations and walking alongside one another in times of distress… that is what we continue to foster. Recognizing an unfortunate need in our community, we are inviting you to join with us in a new ministry at First Congregational Church. Widows’ Might is meant to be a gathering of those who have lost a spouse or partner either recently or over the years. It is meant to be a community of those sharing in a common tragedy in hopes of growing our relationships, resourcing one another and at its very basic level, loving one another. The details for the group as far as how often and when it will be meeting have yet to be flushed out. However, we'd like to bring together those who have interest for an initial conversation where we can further share our vision for the ministry and hear from one another specific needs that we might address. We’ve scheduled a 30-minute opportunity for Sunday, September 17 at 11:30am. We will gather in the church’s Chapel and see how it is that the Spirit leads us to move forward.
