We're Hiring!

We are seeking a Remote Faith Formation Coordinator; a bold and creative soul who is ready to help us reimagine how faith is formed, nurtured, and lived out in digital and hybrid spaces.

This fully remote, part-time position is for someone passionate about progressive theology, spiritual curiosity, and building meaningful connection across screens and generations. We’re not looking for someone to run a traditional Sunday School from afar. Think beyond Sunday School, beyond Christian Education. We’re looking for a collaborator, a content curator, a community builder, and a justice-seeker.

You’ll work closely with our pastor and others to develop accessible, life-giving faith formation experiences for all ages, including online small groups, family faith resources, seasonal studies, and more. You’ll help us engage our wider digital community and equip lay leaders with tools for cultivating spiritual growth in real and relevant ways.

Comfort with technology is a must, and so is a passion for the radical love of Jesus and a commitment to centering the voices of those often pushed to the margins. We are an Open and Affirming, actively anti-racist congregation that believes faith is not about having all the answers, it’s about living deeply into the questions.

If you believe church should be a place where all are seen, all are celebrated, and all are challenged to follow love into action, this might be for you.

Come help us become more fully the church God calls us to be for such a time as this.

Faith Formation - For All Ages

What is Faith Formation, anyway?

At First Congregational Church, UCC, we define faith formation as the lifelong, holistic, Spirit-led process of growing in relationship with God, self, others, and creation. It’s not just about what we learn, but how we live… through worship, relationships, justice, curiosity, and belonging. It’s for all ages, not just kids.
