Just days from the beginning of the Lenten Season, a time of mindfulness and reflection, and we pause to indulge just a bit as if strolling through the streets of a New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration. It is also a time when we encounter Jesus and his disciples high atop the mountain, visited by ancestors in the faith and God's soul-stirring voice. Do we stay atop the mountain? Or do we return and share the good news with others? Together, we will reflect on such experiences that we have had in our life as a faith community and how we might move forward into Lent and beyond, building upon the opportunities we have had.
