Online Book Study: "Baptizing America" —The First Book in Our Lenten Series on Christian Nationalism As we continue our journey of reflection and repentance this Lent, we invite you to an eye-opening online book study on "Baptizing America: How Mainline Protestants Helped Build Christian Nationalism" by Brian Kaylor and Beau Underwood. This book challenges us to recognize the ways in which Christian Nationalism has not only been shaped by evangelical movements but has also found support within mainline Protestant traditions. This study is offered in conjunction with our 2025 Lenten Worship Series, “Repenting from Christian Nationalism,” and will provide an opportunity to examine the historical and theological roots of this ideology while discerning faithful ways to resist its influence today. Mondays, March 10 & March 17 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST Online via Zoom Understanding the full scope of Christian Nationalism requires a willingness to confront difficult truths—including those within our own traditions. We hope you will join this conversation as we explore how we can move forward as people of faith committed to justice, inclusion, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To register for the book study, please contact Rev. Timoth at RevTimoth@wearechanginglives.org. Let’s engage in this essential conversation with honesty, humility, and hope for a better future. #WeAreChangingLives #RepentingFromChristianNationalism #BaptizingAmerica #Lent2025 WeAreChangingLives.org
