Online Book Study: "The False White Gospel" —The Second Book in Our Lenten Series on Christian Nationalism In alignment with our 2025 Lenten Worship Series, “Repenting from Christian Nationalism,” we invite you to join us for the second book discussion in this important series. Our conversation will center on "The False White Gospel: Rejecting Christian Nationalism, Reclaiming True Faith, and Refounding Democracy" by Jim Wallis, a powerful examination of how white Christian nationalism has distorted the message of Jesus and been used to justify systems of oppression. Wallis challenges readers to confront the ways in which racism, power, and privilege have shaped American Christianity and calls for a return to a Gospel rooted in justice, truth, and love. This study will offer an opportunity for reflection, repentance, and action as we seek to live out our faith in ways that resist harmful ideologies and embrace the radical inclusivity of Jesus. Mondays, March 24 & March 31 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST Online via Zoom This is the second book in our three-part book study series, which began with "Baptizing America" by Brian Kaylor & Beau Underwood and concludes with "The Flag & The Cross" by Philip S. Gorski & Samuel L. Perry. Whether you join us for all three books or just this one, we welcome your voice in this critical conversation. To register for the book study, please contact Rev. Timoth at RevTimoth@wearechanginglives.org. Let’s begin this Lenten journey together, seeking transformation, justice, and a faith that truly reflects the heart of Jesus. #WeAreChangingLives #RepentingFromChristianNationalism #TheFalseWhiteGospel #Lent2025 WeAreChangingLives.org
