Online Book Study: "The Flag & The Cross" — The Third Book in Our Lenten Series on Christian Nationalism As part of our ongoing Lenten Worship Series, “Repenting from Christian Nationalism,” we invite you to join us for the third and final book discussion in this series. This session will focus on "The Flag & The Cross: White Christian Nationalism and the Threat to American Democracy" by Philip S. Gorski and Samuel L. Perry. This compelling book examines the rise of Christian Nationalism in the United States and its impact on democracy, faith, and justice. As people of faith, we are called to recognize and resist the ways in which nationalism has distorted the Gospel and harmed our communities. This study will help us explore these themes and consider how we can live out a faith that prioritizes love, inclusion, and the common good.
