Before there were parades… there were protests. Before there was celebration… there was survival. Before many people felt safe enough to live openly… there were generations of 2SLGBTQIA+ people who dared to exist anyway. As part of this year’s Randolph Pride theme; “Through The Decades,” we invite you to begin Pride weekend with an evening of storytelling, history, resistance, and remembrance. Join us on Friday, June 26 at 7:00pm at First Congregational Church, UCC Randolph as Queer History Boston presents “Improper Bostonians,” a fascinating and powerful exploration of queer history in Boston and beyond. This presentation will shine a light on the people and stories often left out of traditional history books, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities who challenged expectations, built spaces of belonging, resisted oppression, and helped shape the world we know today. Together, we’ll reflect on the courage it took to live authentically in times when simply existing openly could come at great cost. We’ll celebrate the activists, artists, organizers, drag performers, trans leaders, and everyday people whose lives and resistance paved the way for future generations. Because Pride is more than a party. It is memory. It is protest. It is resilience. It is the ongoing story of people refusing to disappear. And in a moment when queer rights and identities continue to be challenged across the country, remembering this history matters more than ever. Friday, June 26 7:00pm First Congregational Church, UCC 1 South Main Street - Randolph, MA “Improper Bostonians” presented by Queer History Boston Free & Open to the Public Come begin Randolph Pride weekend by honoring the stories that brought us here and the people who refused to be erased.
