The Bible Is Not A Weapon! And yet... it is wielded by millions every day with intent to cause harm, especially to members of the queer community. A series of scripture verses, lifted out of context, have come to be known as the "clobber passages" as they are the most commonly used in opposition to those who know themselves to be LGBTQIA2S+. As those who have chosen to follow Jesus, we have an obligation to better understand these scriptures in our efforts to live more fully into our Open and Affirming status as well as in our work to be LIFE-CHANGING in our affirmation of others. We will be offering two weeks of bible study on some of the most commonly-used "clobber passages" and hope you will consider participating. We will be meeting for hybrid sessions (online and in-person) on Wednesdays, June 21 and 28, at both 10am and 6:30pm.
